Product Description
The Quick Table Top Press operates on the same toggle action principle as our Quick Press. By mounting the press vertically and providing a table top mounting platform, we have made it easier to compress a KBr pellet and easier to open the press and remove the pellet. Vertical mounting enables the use of body weight and shoulder muscles, so the Quick requires minimal strength to operate. When the base is attached to a bench it is easier to open then a hand press, and pushing a small lever ejects the die set. There is a dial indicator to enable reproduction of force settings from pellet to pellet. The press is constructed from Stainless Steel, chrome plated steel and anodized aluminum for long corrosion-free service. The Quick Press uses the same 7mm, 4mm and 2mm die sets that are used in NATIONAL's Quick Press and Port-A-Press.

FAQs of Quick Table Top KBr Pellet Press:
Q: How does the Quick Table Top KBr Pellet Press operate without electricity?
A: The press utilizes a manual hydraulic system, enabling users to apply up to 15 tons of pressure without the need for electrical power. Simply operate the hydraulic jack to achieve the necessary pressure for KBr pellet formation.
Q: What is the typical process for preparing KBr pellets using this press?
A: Begin by loading finely ground potassium bromide into the die set, then assemble and secure it in the press. Use the hydraulic jack to apply the required pressure, forming a uniform pellet ready for FTIR spectroscopy analysis. The mechanism allows for quick pressing and straightforward die removal.
Q: When should I use this KBr pellet press in my laboratory routine?
A: This press is ideal whenever you need to prepare high-quality KBr pellets for FTIR spectroscopy, especially when a rapid and consistent process is essential. Its compact, table top design makes it suitable for routine analysis in research or quality control labs.
Q: Where is the product manufactured and supplied from?
A: The Quick Table Top KBr Pellet Press is manufactured, exported, imported, and supplied by industry leaders based in India, ensuring reliable service and support for domestic and international customers.
Q: What are the key benefits of the quick pressing mechanism and easy die loading?
A: The quick pressing system and ergonomic die loading/removal reduce sample preparation time and effort, allowing for efficient workflow and minimizing downtime between batches.
Q: Is the press compatible with materials other than potassium bromide?
A: This model is specifically designed for potassium bromide (KBr) pellets, which are standard in FTIR sample preparation. For other materials, consult with the manufacturer for compatibility.
