Product Description
NATIONALL offers a heavy duty, corrosion resistant sealed liquid spectrophotometer cell designed to withstand rough handling and continuous sampling in laboratories. The large 25mm circular aperture is suitable for use with both dispersive and FTIR instruments. Each spectrophotometer cell is machined individually from 1/4 inch thick stainless steel. Pathlengths can be nominal or calibrated to 4 decimal places (eg. 1.0152mm) and spectrophotometer cell pathlengths can be matched within 3% for interchangability. All optical materials are available in standard nominal pathlengths ranging from 0.015mm to 1mm. Other pathlengths are also available. The window is a 39.5mm x 39.5mm x 6.5mm hexagon. NATIONAL also offers an infrared cell reconditioning service in Section 0010 and a calibration service for all spectrophotometer cells. Pathlengths can be nominal or calibrated to 4 decimal places (eg. 1.0152mm) and cell pathlengths can be matched within 3% for interchangability. NATIONAL also offers an infared cell reconditioning service and a calibration service for all spectrophotomer cells.
The Model NAC-214 cell is available with pathlengths of 2.5 micron, 5 micron, 7.5 micron and 10 micron.

Robust Construction for Laboratory PrecisionThe NAC-214 Spectrophotometer Cells are engineered from heavy-duty optical glass or quartz, providing both durability and chemical resistance. The optically polished four-side design ensures minimal light absorption loss, making them ideal for highly accurate spectrophotometric measurements in both UV and visible/NIR ranges.
Safe & Secure Sealing for Liquid ContainmentA fused/sealed lid guarantees reliable containment of liquid samples, eliminating the risk of leaks and contamination. This feature is particularly beneficial when working with volatile or sensitive samples, ensuring the integrity of your experimental results while making the cleaning process straightforward and effective.
Versatile Compatibility & High TransparencyDesigned to fit standard laboratory spectrophotometers, these cells offer high transparency (over 80%) in their respective optical range. Their precision manufacturing and clear wall design deliver consistent, repeatable measurements for a wide variety of research and industrial applications.
FAQs of Sealed Liquid Spectrophotometer Cells - Model NAC-214 Heavy Duty:
Q: How do I clean and maintain the Sealed Liquid Spectrophotometer Cells (Model NAC-214)?
A: These cells can be washed using common laboratory solvents and acids. The materials usedheavy-duty optical glass or quartzare resistant to most chemicals. Rinse thoroughly after each use to prevent residue buildup and store dry to maintain optimal optical clarity.
Q: What types of samples can be analyzed using these spectrophotometer cells?
A: The NAC-214 is suitable for holding various liquid samples for UV, visible, or near-infrared spectrophotometric analysis. Their chemical resistance allows for a wide range of applications, including biological, chemical, and industrial samples.
Q: When should I choose quartz over optical glass for the cell material?
A: Select quartz cells for UV spectral analysis due to their high transparency in the ultraviolet range. Optical glass is recommended for visible and NIR applications, offering excellent clarity in those wavelength regions.
Q: Where can I use these spectrophotometer cells?
A: These cells are designed for use in standard laboratory spectrophotometers, making them suitable for research labs, quality control settings, educational institutions, and industrial laboratories in India and worldwide.
Q: What is the process for filling the sealed cell, and what is its maximum capacity?
A: To fill the cell, open the sealed lid, introduce your liquid sample (up to 10.5 ml), and reseal the lid securely. The sealing ensures no leakage during measurement while the 10 mm path length adheres to industry standards for analytical accuracy.
Q: How does the optically polished surface and high transparency benefit my measurements?
A: The four optically polished clear sides and over 80% light transmission dramatically reduce light scattering and stray light interference, enhancing measurement accuracy and reproducibility during spectrophotometric analyses.
